Why We Built This Site
Florida treats most jail and inmate information as public, but knowing where to look is the real challenge. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office runs the local jail roster, which covers people awaiting court and those serving short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a completely separate locator for sentenced state prisoners, and federal or immigration detainees turn up in yet other systems. We built this site to gather those rosters, locators, contact numbers, visitation rules, and records-request steps into one place, with plain explanations of which tool fits which situation.
